Huge AAU Basketball Tournament

METRO SPORTS / KC PREP NATIONAL INVITATIONAL
July 28-31, 2010
Mid America Sports Complex – West
20200 Johnson Drive
Shawnee, Kansas 66218

There is something for everyone that likes seeing the college players of the future. Last July 2009 there were over 320 college coaches in attendance and more are expected this week. It is a great chance to see (up close) outstanding high school players and the college coaches that participated in last March/April NCAA Basketball Tournament. Four games are usually played at once and there is plenty of surface parting, bleacher seating, and snack bar concessions.

Some of the D-I prospect in the KC area that are participating are 6-2sr. Terry Moore, Wyandotte HS, 6-1sr., Corey Hilliard, Raytown South HS, 6-3sr. Tyler Kalinoski, Olathe East HS, and 6-4sr. AJ Spencer, SMNW HS. There are so many D-I major conference prospects participating, it is impossible to list them all. Here are a few: 6-3sr. Bradley Beal, St. Louis (commit to Florida), 6-5sr. Ben McLemore, St. Louis (offered by KU, MU and many others), 6-5sr. Elgin Cook, Milwaukeee (commit to Ia.St.), 6-5sr. Quevgn Winters, Milwaukee (commit to Baylor), 6-7sr. Paul Jesperson, Merrill, Wis.(many think the best player in the state), 7sr. Akeem Smart, Chicago (only been playing 5-6 months from Virgin Is.), 6-8sr. Darnell Harris, Chicago (many Big 12 offers), 6-6sr. Darius Drapper, Chicago (last 09-10 he had two 30point and two 40 point games), two Missouri All-State players in 6-2sr. Brandon Moore, Blair Oaks, Mo., and 6-7sr. Jacob Tolbert, Cape Girardeau, Mo., 6-9sr. Cannen Cunningham, Arlington, Tx., 6-7sr. Jordan Tolbert, Ft. Worth, Tx., 6-8sr. Cameron Anderson, Charlottsville, Va., offered by most of the East coast colleges.

If it is the underclass players you enjoying watching then look at this outstanding group: Class of 2012 6-8-Perry Ellis, Wichita Heights HS (KU offer), 6-Westley Staten, Sioux City, Ia. (the best player in the state now), 6-10 Sean Young, Bixby, Ok. (he had a breakout Summer in the earlier Metro Sports Classic), 6-9 Dominique Wilson, Piper HS, KCK, 6-1 Maurice Mason, Hogan Prep, KC, Mo., 6-8 Nick Banyard, Arlington, Tx., 6-4 Marcus Smart, Flower Mound Marcus HS, Tx., 6-11 Andre Washington, Roanoke, Va., Class of 2013 6-5 Ishmael Wainright, Raytown South HS, Mo. (nationally one of the best in this class), Class 0f 2014 6-4 Deandre Burton, Milwaukee (one of the top twenty players nationally), 6-4 David Burrell, Milwaukee (one of the top 5 players nationally).
