Metro Sports has the High School Game of the Week. The High School Game of the Week airs each Friday at 7 PM on Metro Sports during the school year. It also replays throughout the weekend. The Game of the Week features the top teams and top contests in the area in football, basketball, wrestling, volleyball, baseball, soccer and other sports.

Kevin Wike holds down the play-by-play responsibilities. For color commentary, Metro Sports turns to former Chiefs player Rich Baldinger; former North Carolina and Kansas player Doug Elstun during basketball season, and former college basketball player Patti Phillips for girls’ basketball games.

Metro Sports hosts the Hy-Vee Shootout, a high school basketball event featuring Kansas teams versus Missouri teams.

The Hy-Vee Shootout presented by Metro Sports returns for the 16th time. One of Kansas City's premiere basketball events takes place December 15-18, 2010. Twenty-one games will be played during the Shootout.
