Hy-vee Game of the Week

Hyvee Game of the Week

Metro Sports has the High School Game of the Week. The High School Game of the Week airs each Friday at 7 PM on Metro Sports during the school year. It also replays throughout the weekend. The Game of the Week features the top teams and top contests in the area in football, basketball, wrestling, volleyball, baseball, soccer and other sports.

Kevin Wike holds down the play-by-play responsibilities. For color commentary, Metro Sports turns to former Chiefs player Rich Baldinger; former North Carolina and Kansas player Doug Elstun during basketball season, and former college basketball player Patti Phillips for girls’ basketball games.

Hy-vee Shootout

Metro Sports hosts the Hy-Vee Shootout, a 32-team basketball event featuring Kansas teams versus Missouri teams.

The Hy-Vee Shootout presented by Metro Sports returns for the 14th time. One of Kansas City's premiere basketball events takes place December 18-20, 2008 at Avila University. Sixteen games will be played during the Shootout. Tickets are $7 a day to watch the best basketball in Kansas City.
